Gregory Carter, MD, and Aleece Fosnight, PA-C, will present a free program entitled “Bladder Fun: Facts, Function and Physiology” at Transylvania Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 9, at 6:30 pm in the Carlson Conference Room. Information will be shared on several bladder issues, including bladder cancer, urinary incontinence and nocturia.
Bladder cancer is one of the most common cancers and occurs more in men. Urinary incontinence – the loss of bladder control – can often be helped by simple lifestyle changes or medical treatment. And nocturia, which means frequent urination at night, may be caused by high fluid intake, sleep disorders or bladder obstruction.
