Add a little extra flavor to your holiday dishes this year! Drizzle this Cranberry Orange Pear Sauce, putting a flavorful twist on traditional cranberry sauce. Happy, healthy eating and be well!
12 oz fresh cranberries
2 ripe pears, peeled, cored and diced
1 cup orange juice
zest of ½ an orange
¼ cup pure maple syrup, honey or agave
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground ginger
total cook + prep time: 20 minutes
1. Add all ingredients, except the pears, to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil on high heat.
2. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
3. Remove from heat and let cool before refrigerating.
