The annual Open Enrollment period for Medicare Advantage is upon us, running October 15 through December 7, and it’s important to know your options.
Coverage has changed for patients in western North Carolina with a Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan. While Mission Health hospitals and physicians are no longer in the Blue Cross Medicare Advantage network, you do have options that will allow you to keep visiting your Mission hospitals and doctors in network.
Mission Health’s seven hospitals and 189 physician practices will be in network with the following Medicare Advantage plans in 2018:
- AARP, MedicareComplete, insured through UnitedHealthcare
- FirstMedicare Direct Healthy State HMO Plus
- Gateway Health Plan
- WellCare Health Plans, Inc.
These plans will allow you to continue seeing the Mission Health doctors and services you rely upon to live at your healthiest and keep up your active lifestyle.
