Keeping Our Patients Informed on Blue Cross NC – What You Need to Know and Do

Mission Health is committed to keeping you updated on the contract issue with Blue Cross NC. We want to make sure you have the resources and tools you need to understand this complicated issue.

This week, we urged you to know and share with family, friends and neighbors:

  • Your coverage remains the same through at least midnight October 5, 2017 – If Blue Cross NC continues to refuse to engage with us, our contracts will end at midnight on October 4, 2017. If this happens, our hospitals, associated facilities and doctors will be out of network for all Blue Cross NC members beginning October 5, 2017. However, until that time, there are no immediate changes for Blue Cross members.

We also encouraged you to:

  • Find out if you are directly impacted by calling Blue Cross NC – Not all health insurance plans are affected – not all Blue Cross plans are affected. So how can you know whether your plan may be impacted? Find out if you are directly impacted by calling the number on the back of your insurance card. Your insurer can help you understand your unique situation.
