3D Mammogram

3d_mammographyBreast cancer can sometimes hide and can be difficult to find. However, new 3D technology is helping better detect lumps. Carol Tomlinson is about to get results of a recent mammogram. It’s unnerving because she can’t help remembering her breast cancer diagnosis and treatments 6 years ago. “My mother had died of cancer, so I was pretty shook up,” Tomlinson said.  Mammography at the Hope Women’s Cancer Center in Asheville has recently improved  from 2D to 3D, which is important for Carol and many other patients.
